HOW CAN I HELP?
The House of Sophrosyne is a registered charity that relies upon the generosity of people just like you; whether you can contribute $5, 10, 100, 1000 or more, every gift goes directly towards our important work. Donations can be made in person, by mail or by clicking in the PayPal link below. All donations are tax deductable and charitable receipts will be issued. Sympathy pauses and says “I’m sorry”, compassion stops and says “I’ll help”.

Women and Gemstones Campaign
Gemstones come in many different sizes, colours and shapes. Gemstones, like Women, are all unique and beautiful. We are proud to join with many Women’s addiction treatment centres across the country in this campaign. The House of Sophrosyne is proud to join with women's addiction treatment centers across the country in presenting the "Women and Gemstones" fundraising campaign. Beautiful gemstone bracelets are presented on velvet bars in hatboxes - perfect for displays at meetings, workplaces, or anywhere people gather. If you would like to have a display at your next meeting, or would like to volunteer to present a "hatbox" to your group, please contact the Operations Manager at 519.252.2711.
Each bracelet is $20.00 and includes an organza gift bag.

Zehrs Save-a-Tape Campaign
We encourage everyone to save any Zehrs receipts from their groceries, for every $450.00 of totaled receipts we receive $1.00 in Canadian funds. If you wish to participate in our Save-a-Tape campaign, mail or drop off receipts in our "Zehrs Receipt Box, " at the House. Every dollar counts, every receipt counts!

Volunteer Opportunities with the House of Sophrosyne
Volunteer Receptionist - answering phones, greeting visitors, filing, keeping attention to confidentiality, etc.
Different fundraising positions are always available at the House. We have regular scheduled bingos as well as special fundraising projects such as raffles, dances, t-shirt, coffee mug and bracelet sales, etc.
We are always looking for someone that has skills in plumbing, carpentry, painting or gardening. If you can spare the time, any help would be appreciated.
Board of Directors
We are looking for any community minded individual who feels they can make a worthwhile contribution to the House through membership on the Board of Directors. If you are inspired by the recovery of chemically dependent women and their families, and would like more information on the Board of Directors, please email
board@sophrosyne.ca. The Board meets regularly on the first Wednesday of every month at 6:00 pm, excluding the summer months of July and August.
Volunteers can shape lives or even entire communities. We recognize the unique contribution that volunteers can make and welcome your support!
